Consequently our clients recommend us to other prospectors which itself is enough to prove our transcendence in the steel industry.
Om tubes is a high-quality Steel Plates Suppliers. Om tubes supplies steel Plates in stainless steel, carbon steel and high nickel alloys. We are a complete solution to the industry as we provide products right from the base of the bar to end products such as fittings and fasteners.
Steel Plates Manufacturers have come in various shapes such as:
Stainless Steel basically is an alloy of Iron with a minimum 10.5% of Chromium in it. The Chromium produces a thin layer of oxide on the surface of the steel known as the ‘passive steel’ and hence the “Stainless” appearance. Increasing the amount of Chromium increases the resistance against the corrosion of the steel. Along with Chromium, Stainless Steel also contains varying amounts of Carbon, Silicon and Manganese. Other elements such as Nickel and Molybdenum may be added to impart other useful properties such as enhanced sturdiness and increased corrosion resistance. As an element, Stainless steel is 100% recyclable, corrosion-resistant, conserving-free, tenacious and hygienic.
The stainless steel family tree has several branches, which may be differentiated in a variety of ways e.g. in terms of their areas of application, by the alloying elements used in their production or perhaps the most accurate way, by the metallurgical phases present in their microscopic structures –
Duplex steels, consisting of the mixture of ferrite and austenite.
Austenitic steels have austenite as their primary phase (face-centred cubic crystal). These are alloys containing chromium and nickel (sometimes manganese and nitrogen), structured around the composition of iron, 18% chromium, and 8% nickel. Austenitic steels are not hardenable by heat treatment. Stainless steel is an austenitic steel containing 18-20% chromium and 8-10% nickel.
- Good to excellent corrosion resistance
- Good weldability and formability
- Good creep resistance
Austenitic types have good to the excellent type of corrosion resistance and have exceptional moulding ability and durability.
Ferritic steels have ferrite (body centred cubic crystal) as their main phase. These steels contain iron and chromium and based on the composition of 17% chromium. Ferritic steel is less ductile than austenitic steel and is not hardenable by heat treatment. Molybdenum may be combined with some grades to improve corrosion resistance. These type of steels are magnetic because of their ferritic structure.
- Low Carbon and Nickel content
- Good Weldability and Toughness
Martensitic steels are low carbon steels built around the Type 410 composition of iron, 12% chromium, and 0.12% carbon. They may be tempered and hardened. Martensite gives steel great hardness, but it also reduces its toughness and makes it brittle, so few steels are fully hardened. These grades contain no, or small, amounts of nickel, and molybdenum is seldom added. Adding some nickel and reducing the carbon content improves the poor weldability of martensitic grades
- High Strength
- Formidable Wear-Resistance
- Low Corrosion Resistance.
- Steel structures
- Large diameter pipes
- Storage tanks
- Railway wagons
- Pressure vessels
- Weather proof steel plates for the construction of railcars
We offer our products at customer-friendly prices. Although the prices of the Steel Tubes will vary according to the particular element used for making the bar and also depending upon its specifications and its effective properties. The prices also depends upon customer’s choice of customization.
