Titanium Pipe Fittings

Titanium Pipe Fittings are used in pipe systems to connect straight pipe or tubing sections. The main use of fitting is to make the pipe or the tube adaptable to different sizes or shapes. Titanium Pipe Fittings Manufacturers are also used for other purposes such as regulating or measuring fluid flow. The term plumbing is generally used to describe conveyance of water, gas, or liquid waste in ordinary domestic or commercial environments, whereas piping is often used to describe high-performance conveyance of fluids in specialized applications. The term tubing is sometimes used for lighter-weight piping, especially types that are flexible enough to be supplied in coiled form.

Element with symbol TI and atomic number 22 is called titanium. It can be identified as a lustrous transistion silver color metal haing low density and high strength. It shows high resistance to sea water, aqua regia and chlorine. Name of titanium is derived from the Titans (sons of the earth goddess of greek mythology). If we look at physical property of titanium, it is strong and light metal. Compared to aluminum it is 50% heavier and almost double in strength. It is 45% lighter than steel. It is used in propeller shafts, rigging and other parts of boats that are exposed to sea water since it is not easily corroded by sea water. Titanium and its alloy are also used in airplanes, missiles and rockets where strength, low weight and resistance to high temperatures are important. It has many medical applications as it is commonly used as biological implants. Titanium does not react within the human body, it is used to create artificial hips, pins for setting bones and for other biological implants. Titanium is comparatively more costly than other alloys. This has limited its widespread use. So basically titanium is used in applications in Industrial, Aerospace, Chemical, Sports field. Naturally occurring titanium is composed of 5 stable isotopes: 46Ti, 47Ti, 48Ti, 49Ti, and 50Ti, with 48Ti being the most abundant. Titanium is gaining popularity in a number of applications and in all sorts of industries. At Om tubes, titanium is used in large amount because of its physical and chemical properties, which makes it an especially valuable metal. Titanium is mostly used in aerospace industry which is evident in their adoption of the metal for the building of various different aircraft components. Many industries acknowledge the benefits of using titanium and these industries are finding variety of ways to use the metal in cutting edge applications.

The Processing of steel carp and alloy together leads to the production of Titanium. The amount of Alloy mixed decides the capability of the Steel works.

But still they are following steps:

1. Step one is to melt the metal including alloy and non-alloy into an electric arc furnace and later on adding the chemical energy like carbon, ferrosilicon, oxygen or fuel gas mixtures to speed up the process

2. After the melting process is done. The melts still is further processed in AOD which is Argon-Oxygen Decarburization. In which the carbon content is reduced and the mixture of Argon and Oxygen is added.

3. If we need low amount of Argon and oxygen then melted steel is added to the VOD which is Vacuum Oxygen Decarburization. And then melted steel is poured on the ladle
